TRIPOLI (Afrobasket 2009) - Senegalese Lions Tuesday played one of the best of its campaign in the FIBA Africa Championship with a 73-65 points victory over Tunisia to go top of Group-F
The Lions who were accorded a wild-card status by FIBA Africa trailed the Tunisian in the first quarter by 19-17 points, tied the second quarter at 15 points apiece to go into the break 34-32 points in favour of Tunisia.
Upon resumption of action after the break, the Boniface Ndong inspired side came out smoking winning the third and fourth quarters by 22-16 and 19-15 points for a cumulative scores of 73-65 points.
Tunisia trio of Mohamed Hdidane, Amine Rzig and Atef Maouo scored 14, 11 and 10 points respectively as they finish second from group-F.
